MFC President Message

Over the past seventeen years, MFC has awarded scholarships to over 100 deserving college-bound students. In 2016 alone, we awarded 20 scholarships totaling $25,000 to area high school graduates. The organization has partnered with local elementary schools in providing school supplies for children of economically challenged families. Our mentoring program has assisted both high school and junior high schools when needed.

As an organization, we are still being blessed by having some truly outstanding sponsors. BP continues to be one of our major sponsors. Over the last four years, they have contributed a major portion of our scholarship funds. Aetna, another one of our major sponsors, has contributed a large sum of funds to facilitate a community garden in partnership with Men for Change and Mayor Owens along with

members of the Missouri City Council. The community garden initiative was created as a response to the growing concern for the health and nutrition needs of our community. The Community Garden should be open in the spring of 2014.

Fort Bend Cares and others continue to offer unwavering support to Men for Change. Because of their efforts, MFC has been able to continue supporting many Fort Bend students within our communities.
